Dance Times:

Beginner's orientation at 6:40pm
Contra Dance from 7pm to 10pm
Potluck Snack Break at about 8:30pm

Where: Carmel Youth Center (4th Street, between Junipero & Torres)
Cost:

$12 for nonmembers (of any sister organization)
$10 for non-MCDC members (you must be a member in good standing of a sister organization, including CDSS)
$8 for MCDC members
$5 for full-time students and active military (please have ID, in case)

Parking: Vista Lobos public parking lot. around the corner on Torres (between 3rd & 4th Streets)

    MCDC holds contra dances most first and third Saturdays (in December, our dances may vary due to the holiday season) at the Carmel Youth Center, unless otherwise noted in our schedules and calendars. Come alone or bring a friend – beginners are always welcome! If you'd like to support MCDC, please consider becoming a Member (a minimum $20/year sponsorship helps us to continue these wonderful dances).

   Dances begin at 7:00 pm, with a highly recommended newcomers' orientation 20 minutes before the dance begins. Check out our Current Schedule for details and dates.

If you're feeling nervous about learning Contra Dance, we even have links to beginning dancers' training videos on YouTube – they are a wonderful help, though nothing replaces dancing as a way for your body to learn.
